Aldergrove – Moneyglass Match Prediction | 05-10-2019 12:00

My dark horse for the County is probably Loughrea.Portumna have been getting hammered by everyone so far. Good matches to come in both codes... Gort looks average. In Hurling it's a coin toss as usual. I'd probably favor Corofin and St Thomas's to retain their crowns though it will be tough going for both. Corofin had some of their toughest matches in Galway last year in the football. St Thomas's, Sarsfields, Cappataggle, Tourloughmore, look awesome and I know I'm leaving out some great teams so forgive me. Fintan Burke is a huge loss for St Thomas's but they seem fine without him. In Galway things are moving along nicely.

Christy Sheerin fired over his third point of the match tocut the gap to four points but the home side managed the time remaining bykeeping hold of the ball and not giving Tr na ng a sniff. Conaill Prenter took his tally to 1-3 for thegame with the last kick of the game as the home side celebrated a comfortablevictory. The two points ensure theMarion Hill side are now guaranteed second place and a two-leggedpromotion/relegation play off with whoever finished second bottom in DivisionOne.

Play Omagh. Play Omagh or DgnTrillick - Brennan's and Donnelly's pose massive threats capable of beating anyone. Throw a dice in Tyrone - League as it stands Coalisland - Reigning champions, welcome back Hampsey and McKernan. Play Trillick. My pick for top 4. Winners play Errigal or EglishErrigal Ciaran - Normally run away with league. Play Moy winners play Dromore or TrillickWith top teams drawn against each other like Trillick v Dromore and Coalisland v Ardboe left a few bottom teams drawing each other. Winners play Kilyclogher or DonaghmoreDromore - Consistent performers, good squad potentials there to win it. Not so much this year and always fall short in Championship. Play Eglish should be walkover. Lost McAliskey last year during the first round and suffered narrow defeat. Ability is definately there just needs to be applied. 2 out of the bottom 3 play each other in Edendork v Tattyreagh and 2 other teams whom i dont see winning it Derrylaughan v Carrickmore who will then play off against each other will guarentee one of them 4 in the semis. Winners play Moy or ClonoeDungannon - No starred players missing throughout the season, young team and winning 7/9 games only team that got promoted last year to be outside of relegation zone. Play Ardboe. (See Dromore)Clonoe - Another team that will always pose a threat.

After a close first half the game was finely balanced but the second half belonged to the Chapel Hill side. Going into this game the home side playing at their home ground on Kirkwood Road knew they would be playing division three football next season. On the other hand the visitors knew their division 2 place had been secured for another season.

Owen Gallagher, one of sixbrothers in the St. Fergal Burke responded for St. Josephs panel, burst through from midfield to land anexcellent point but back came the Crumlin men with a move that started indefence and finished with Fergal Burke finding the back of the net. We then had the firstgoal of the game when Thomas Gallagher was alert and finished to the net forthe visitors to restore their lead. James toclose the gap to one when he split the posts but the ever reliable MichaelMcCourt added to his tally with a pointed free. The visitors playing up the hill were first on the scoresheet with a Michael McCourt pointed free but Brian McQuillan and SeamusMcGarry replied with points to put the reds in front.

Owen Gallagher showed all his class when he jinked through for a point for the visitors but when Seamus McGarry while under severe pressure was fouled, he landed a point from the resultant free to edge the home side two in front once more. The young Chapel Hill side was tiring on the heavy pitch when the management made three changes which settled the side down. Connor Morris got on the score sheet with an excellent point as play continued to swing from end to end. From the throw-in Owen Gallagher broke free and landed the equalizing score but Seamus McGarry showed all his experience to slip his marker and put his side back in front. Thomas Gallagher closed the gap to the minimum when he split the posts with a beauty before Brian McQuillan replied to extend the home sides lead with a point from some distance.

Club Championships

for me it's Celbridge or Athy to win it out.Intermediate will be won by Clougherinkoe, Monasterevin or Leixlip with the Cloughs my tip.Junior final is this weekend and I'd imagine it's Ballymore's with a good bit to spare. Kildare has been without much surprise, other than Naas' demise leading them to a relegation play-off, very soo matter winning div.1 of the league. With the senior semi finals coming up it is all to play for and the teams left will all feel they have a chance. Moorefield were beaten by Sarsfields in the group stages and I'm not sure they have the 3 in a row in them..

The second half started with a Francis McMeel pointed free and Lisburn were looking good. Fergus Cunningham, who had replaced the injured Michael Johnston at half-timereplied for St. Back came the lads in blue and gold with a point from Mark Torbitt to level the scores at 7 apiece and it still looked anyones game. Glenavy soon put paid to that notion. Josephs from a placed ball. Could they go on to record a second victory after last weeks win in Glenravel? James Gallagher started the fight back with a long distance point and team captain Ciaran Loney stroked a beauty through the upright to put the orange men one up.

I expected St.

Stop waiting. Start winning.

Leagues all finalised and Championships at the business end of things.Hurling: Senior - Semi Finals played as double header yesterday with St Johns and Cushendall having to do it all again after playing out a draw. Likely a Lisburn/Ardoyne final. Should be a GNM win.Football:At the semi finals stage with the fixtures to be played over the coming weekend.Senior - first semi between Casements Portglenone and Lamh Dhearg on Saturday with St Galls and Cargin meeting on Sunday. Two tight games with perhaps Moneyglass and Aldergrove shading it.Junior - Lisburn v O'Donnells and Ballycastle v Ardoyne. Dunloy wait the winners or the replay after defeating Loughgiel by 3 points.Intermediate - Carey Faughs to play Sambo managed St Endas in the final after semi final wins over Sarsfields and Glenariffe respectively.Junior - looks to be an all city affair as St Pauls have already claimed their place with the other semi seeing Rasharkin and Gort na Mona play this Wed night. Could go either way but if was to stick neck out would go for a LD and Cargin final though could as easy be the other pairing.Intermediate - Con Magees Glenravel play Moneyglass in first semi on Saturday with Aldergrove and St Pauls playing on Sunday.

Monaghan Senior Football ChampionshipPenalty shoot-outs are the biggest talking points so far. So as it stands now:Scotstown are in one semi final and they await the winners of Ballybay v Carrickmacross.Clontibret are in the other semi final and they will play the winners of Truagh v Latton. Scotstown prevailed 4-2 on penalties and Truagh are now into the back door which is now really a quarter final. The latest game to end level after extra time was Scotstown v Truagh last sunday.

When Kelly split the posts in the 14th minute forthe St Ergnats to put nine between the sides, they were dominant and gave thevisitors very little in the way of chances.Ryan ONeill opened their account with a point from distance with theoutside of his boot and would signal the start of a mini revival by thevisitors. They went onto score a furtherthree points unanswered from Christy Sheerin (two) and Ciaran Dobbin.
